What we collect, and what we do with it.

Reading this site collects nothing from you

You do not need an account to read anything we publish, and we do not put content behind a form. We run no advertising, no tracking pixels, no session cookies and no cross-site trackers. Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs — the request, a timestamp, a rough location — which is how any website stays online, and we do not join them to anything else or use them to build a profile of you.

If you email us, we have your email

That is currently the only way we get an address. We use it to answer you and to send what you asked for. We keep the correspondence so we can pick the conversation back up. We do not sell, rent, trade or co-market addresses, and — because our research maps the organisations that would very much like a list of motivated contractors and investors — we never pass an address to anyone named in our work.

The watch list, and who processes it

We are a small nonprofit and our mailing list is not automated yet, which is why the briefing asks you to email us rather than fill in a form. When that changes, this page will name the provider that processes addresses before a single one goes in. The promise now and then is the same: what you asked for, a note when the next briefing lands, a working unsubscribe, and nothing else without asking you first.

Whose names appear in the research

Our briefings are built from public records, and we hold to one rule in the data itself: we name companies. Private individuals, family trusts, home addresses and personal phone numbers are excluded in code rather than by judgment, so the rule cannot slip.

Some briefings also name people in published professional roles — an official in public office, an executive on their own company’s team page — where their function is the point. That is a map of public roles, not a contact list: we publish no personal contact details, and nobody named has endorsed our work or been asked to. If you are named and the description of your role is wrong, out of date, or you would rather not be listed, write to us and we will correct it or remove the entry.

Asking us to delete something

Write to eddy@elio.care and ask. We will remove your address, tell you what we held, or correct an entry about you. We are a small team, so we will not promise a turnaround measured in hours — but we will answer, and we would rather be corrected in public than be quietly wrong.

Changes

When this page changes materially we update the reviewed date above and say what changed. If the change affects addresses we already hold, we will email the people it affects rather than quietly editing the page.
